I know that soon everything will probably be all about our new baby, so I wanted to take the time to recognize our first baby, Charlie. If anyone knows us, he is pretty much our pride and joy. We take him everywhere and pretty much treat him like a kid (instead of a dog) :) Anyway, a little history of how we got Charlie....
In April of 2008, I had knee surgery and couldn't go to work. I had been really bored and we had been talking about getting a dog...so....I decided to start looking at some of the pounds that were close to us. I had been looking for weeks on the internet when I saw the cutest little dog at the Knoxville Young-Williams Humane Society. I went there immediately and she was already taken :( They said, though, that her brother was still here. I went to see him and there he was....our precious little ball of fur. He was sleeping and I picked him up. He just yawned, stretched. looked at me with his big brown eyes and went right back to sleep in my arms. Something about the way he looked at me was all it took. He slept the whole time I was there, but I couldn't help but just know that he was meant to be our dog. Below is his picture when I got him. He was 3 months old, would almost fit in the palm of your hand, and was described as a miniature sheltie/spaniel mix.

It didn't take Jon and I very long to realize how smart and sweet he was. You only had to tell him once, and he just did it. He loves to run and play outside, but he also loves his time inside with us. He is definitely playful but also loves to cuddle. He has his daddy wrapped around his finger and I guess his mom is pretty close behing :) Anyway, he is a very special part of our family and we just wanted everyone to see our baby, Charlie.
